An excerpt from Michelle's announcement letter follows:

Dear Voters, Supporters, and Friends,

It is with great pride, excitement, and hope for the future that I announce my candidacy for State Representative of the 10th Plymouth district.

I know and I care about this district. My family’s roots run deep here, across five generations. I was born here, went to school here, and now own a home here with my husband, Adam Swinson.

Today and for the past nine years I have served the 10th Plymouth district as a Brockton City Councilor from Ward 6. Anyone who has watched my service to the community knows that I will ask the tough questions and leave no stone unturned when it comes to assisting the residents that I represent.
